On our regular breakfast rotation now! This place is solid. So glad we decided to stop in. Dining area is bigger than it looks from the outside. We were seated fairly quick for how busy they were. Coffee was actually ok. Food was better. Huge portions and great on taste! I ordered some special they had going on that was 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, and 3 bacon for like $6-7. Too much food! Luckily I had my family with me who each took a pancake. Pancakes were fluffy and had a nice texture. Hubby ordered the country fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns, and a grilled biscuit. My son ordered a bacon and egg sandwich on a croissant with hashbrowns. Everyone was very happy with their food. That grilled biscuit was on point. Service was great and the food did not take long to come out. They also have a lunch/dinner menu that features a wide variety of options...or order breakfast for dinner! Great place and easy on your wallet. Def recommend if you are in the area.

I'm comparing this to Trip's Diner in St. Pete which right now set the par. Ordered Lorraine quiche. Italian deep dish. Can't remember what it's called. It has potatoes and meat at the bottom and fried egg on top. Coffee and water. Old place w/ old decor. SUMMARY: Slightly below average food. Right price. Very good service.

Good selection of American food dining and affordable. Good service too. This place seems like it's been around the block for a long time, which is good for the locals. The only reason why i can't give it a higher rating is because it didn't give me that "wow" factor, plus this place should be open really early and really late... or 24 hours "." and no TVs and Wifi is not good either. Other than that, a good diner place i do recommend.

It can be very easy to miss this unassuming little cafe in Pinellis Park but it's worth the stop if you're in the neighborhood. After an overly festive Saturday night, I was on a hunt for a hangover cure and came across this place. We started off with some jalapeno poppers in the hopes a little spice would take my mind off my headache. The poppers were fried perfectly and tasted fresh. For my main course I decided to go for a Greek skillet. This DID NOT disappoint! The gyro meat was spiced perfectly and there was enough hash on the bottom to give me the requisite grease. The eggs on top made the meal. The biscuit was neither here nor there but helped to soak up some left over libations. If you're willing to overlook the dated decor, this place is solid for a meal. They have breakfast all day and 2 for 1 mugs of beer if you need a little hair of the dog (which I did). They've got some pretty snazzy party dude murals up front (photo proof included) and a full selection of pastries to go at the door.

So my friend was visiting from out of town and we wanted to meet folks from Largo for bkfst / brunch on a Sun morning and I'm in St Pete . . . not much in the middle, but looked on Yelp and found this gem. At first we were disappointed we wouldn't have a true brunch experience with mimosas and atmosphere, but upon arrival we learned they have a full bar . . . atmosphere is family diner, not trendy, but Yelp prepared us for that. They have an extensive menu for bkfst and the decisions were not easy. The griddled biscuit had been suggested by others so it was ordered by a few of us and YUM! The prices are in line with the atmosphere and won't break the bank. They serve other meals too. Everything was fresh, but the service which was friendly. I will be back as they had an amazing case filled with home made cakes and pies . . . I must try them!! Enjoy!

Very enjoyable breakfast. Absolutely recommend checking this place out. Reminds me of the old NY diners. Get the skillet!

I ventured into Parkside Cafe after reading the Yelp reviews. I have yet to try their regular food, but I have had breakfast there 3 times now. I have loved everything I have tried other than their gravy (it is too thin and tastes canned). Their Greek Skillet is really good and probably my favorite thing so far. I like to order it with my eggs over easy so that the yolk runs down into the potatoes, gyro, etc. Sprinkle on some salt and some ketchup. It's SO good. Make sure you order the grilled biscuits as your bread, they are awesome. Their Kielbasa is also delicious! They slice it down the center and grill it. Yum. The Quiche Lorraine is pretty good and I like the fresh fruit it came with. The staff is always friendly and efficient. We have enjoyed our experiences at Parkside Cafe and we will continue to visit.

This is our go-to place for breakfast in Pinellas Park. Service is fast, food is, and the prices are great. The breakfast skillets are a favorite. My wife loves the Chorizo skillet but they stopped adding kielbasa so she now tries other things. There is a wide variety of home cooked dinners at very reasonable prices. They even have a bar for your favorite cocktail with your meal. Save room for homemade dessert.

Tried Parkside again - for lunch this time. I had the Reuben sandwich, fries, and coleslaw. The Reuben was good, but was on pumpernickel bread (I prefer rye/pump swirl) and it seemed to be toasted bread, rather than grilled with butter. To me a Reuben should be somewhat "greasy" on the outside and this was dry. Still very tasty, and probably a lot healthier, but that's not my goal when ordering a Reuben. Everything else was very good. On a side note, there was a customer that was very hard to please sitting a few tables away, and 2 different waitresses helped with their "issues" in a very pleasant way. I have to give both of these ladies credit, because most people at some point would have said enough and sent the manager over to deal with it, but they handled the whole situation very professionally.

Great food friendly staff. Homemade cheesecake and lots of pies love there peanut butter pie

2nd time here in one month. Great service, usually quiet and family owned. Definitely would recommend this place to friends and family if they need a quick bite for a cheap bite. I love their burgers, they are grilled with lava rocks which is unique.

Go to Skyway Jack's instead. Staff was waking around complaining. OJ was watered down yuck & coffee was weak. Even for a diner it lacked that atmosphere, you felt like you were an inconvenience for asking even the simplest questions about the menu. Was also told they don't substitute anything something everywhere else will do within reason. We got up and left without eating, went down the street to Skyway Jack's

If you're looking for a solid breakfast in a diner atmosphere with good customer service, you can't go wrong with Parkside Cafe. Weekend mornings are typically the busiest times (as to be expected), but the service doesn't fall behind. I haven't yet tried the lunch, desserts, or dinner here. If you receive Val Pak coupons, there is usually a $2 off coupon for this place.

We went here on our way out of town because it was walking distance from where we were staying and we wanted to enjoy the nice weather al little bit more before heading back to the ice and snow. It's a diner, with all that entails. Service was fine, if a little gruff in that diner-waitress way that I find endearing. Food was decent. My friend ordered the southern skillet which looked like a heart attack on a plate but which he enjoyed. Husband got the veggie quiche which was surprisingly good - fluffy and full of roasted vegetables. Normally quiche is a risky choice at a diner; not so here. I got standard eggs with hash browns and a side of kielbasa. The sausage could have been cooked a little longer; the browned bits that were on it gave it a nice texture, the rest was a little mushy. Home fries were pretty blah. Eggs were a little runny on the whites. The oft-heralded grilled biscuit was okay, though I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about. Not a bad place to pop in for a bite, but nothing I'd go out of the way for.

Nice place. Yes, it's a diner. But it's clean. And the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. And clean! (as you might guess, I've had some diner issues in the cleanliness area.) Had a nice omelet, crispy hash browns as I requested and the grilled biscuit you've read about on other posts. All good, not greasy. Service was fast. I think the omelet was $6.95, plus coffee & tip -- came to about $12.00 Seems like a lot of locals meet here- lots of Vets. Noticed they had some sort of a bar -- didn't check it out as it was 9am, but surprised me to see it. Totally recommend--so much better than many of the chain breakfast places.
(4)Kristen P.
Very good for breakfast The service was friendly and fast even though the place was friendly. Their pancakes were delicious and fluffy how I prefer them. Everything was cooked to perfection. Nice local place in Pinellas Park but a good recommendation for home cooking.

We stopped in for breakfast this morning and enjoyed it. It has the feel of an old diner but a good bit larger. Service was fairly quick in spite of getting caught in the post church crowd. They only have a few servers and they really hustle. My coffee cup stayed full! I had the Italiano skillet. Two eggs over easy, potatoes, peppers, onions, sausage and meatballs. It was excellent and he portion was enough for two. I had a grilled biscuit as my side. Yummy. My father had the quiche special with a side of hollandaise. He really liked it. This is definitely worth another visit.

This is my go-to location after mass on Sundays. It reminds me of the ubiquitous Greek diners from my native Queens. The prices are very reasonable and the menu has a little bit of everything, but don't expect it to be gourmet or anything. It is standard and filling food that hits the spot if you are nearby. They do serve breakfast all day as a bonus.
(3)Matt H.
Absolutely fantastic! You have to ask for the daily specials! $5.95 for 3 eggs, 3 huge strips of bacon, toast and extra crispy sliced potatoes! Best breakfast I've had this close to the beach. Quick service.
(5)Craig S.
Stopped in twice for different meals, and was very disappointed both times. 1st time was a BLT, 2 thin pieces of Bacon, 1 very bad piece of tomato, toasted bread was burnt, and too much lettuce... 2nd meal was uneatable...
(1)Kate T.
I visit a LOT of diners in the area - so maybe it is just a population bias. Parkside is alright, but it isn't something I would go out of my way to eat. That being said, their grilled biscuits are amazing (according to the rest of my group -- I don't eat gluten). Bacon was a little generic, nothing special. Staff seemed to be having a meeting at the table right next to ours...a little weird. Sort of felt like no one cared if we were there or not.
(3)Tim A.
The food was good which it should have been after it took them over an hour to make it. Pretty sure they just forgot to put our order in. Reasonably priced but awful service. Will not be back since there are much better places in the area.

Yummy chocolate milk shakes.....to die for! The park side Cafe burger was great too. Prices are good. Easy parking. A great neighbourhood cafe and I recommend it.

Just for the record I have been eating at Parkside Cafe in Pinellas Park, FL for over 10 years. In 10 years they have not given me a free meal or even a free desert, they don't even know my name. When it is my need to eat healthy stuff I go there, about twice a month. I know when I eat there I will get a large fresh salad and a fresh vegetable with my meal. None of that peas and carrots stuff. Everything is made from scratch and really good. Their home made soups are fantastic. My favorite is a toss up between Lemon Orzo Chicken and Beef-Barley soup. I even like their Navy Bean soup, which I do not like anywhere else. And you get a big bowl not a cup. Their daily specials are always my choice. My favorite is their Salmon Divan with noodles. The first time I expected little chunks of Salmon on noodles with a white sauce. It arrived with a very large cut of salmon over noodles with a heavenly herb scampi sauce with broccoli, artichokes hearts and sun dried tomatos, just the thought of it makes me drool. This week I had their Salmon Picatta, it wonderful with capers and lemon butter sauce. And don't think they have only fish, their Beef Tips over Noodles is a winner. I love their Lamb Shank, in fact I just had lamb shank at a so-called Italian restaurant which tasted exactly the same as Parkside Cafe but was twice the price. Their pork chops are tasty but I recommend you skip the veal. Yes their prices are low, a full meal of home made soup or fresh salad, a garden vegetable, very taste rolls (if you ask) and a fantastic entree for under $10.00. Service is caring if not PC, the waitresses usually remind me of my favorite aunt. They make sure you enjoy your meal, I believe they really care, and if you are nice they may call you "honey".
(5)Melanie D.
We eat breakfast there maybe once per month and will continue to do so. As a whole, the food has been good and enjoyable. I typically get an omelet, my boyfriend orders eggs with biscuits and gravy and we split a banana pancake. We tried it for dinner once....stick with going for breakfast! The service...well, extremely hit or miss even though we see the same servers when we go. There is one that will "honey" or "sweetie" you to death but you will never get the extra glass of water you asked for while you are sitting there with an empty glass or the extra napkins you requested before you food ever came out.

I LOVE Parkside Cafe! I visit family in the area about once a month and while I am there we like to go at least 1 morning for breakfast to the cafe. The service is friendly, fast and consistent. The prices are great, they have daily specials too. The food is wonderful, eggs, bacon, pancakes, muffins, toast, omelets, juice coffee... it's all delish!

Service is always great. Never had any inconsistencies with the food.

First time here around 11AM. Stood at the door, not sure if I should just sit anywhere. A kind lady appears from the kitchen and asks if I wanted table or booth. Booth please, she leads me to one and a waitress is there asking if I wanted breakfast or lunch. Breakfast please. Would you like some coffee? Yes, which was reloaded three times. Ordered their Country Omelet with home fries and rye toast, which appeared in about five minutes. This large dish contains sausage, onions, peppers and cheese topped with gravy. Delicious and quite filling. Toast a bit dry, no biggie. Just over $9 with the coffee. Large dining hall with plenty of ornaments and large TV screen showing my favorite station, Bay News 9. High shelf along walls adorned with beer steins. Planters with overflowing vines and big brightly varnished wood fish sculpture flanked by giant spoon and giant fork. Quite pleasant friendly atmosphere.

Stopped in for lunch and got breakfast. My order: country fried steak w/ gravy, hash browns, 2 eggs over easy, and their grilled biscuit. Everything about the meal was delicious. *Get the grilled biscuit as your bread choice. Was able to use some of the gravy from my steak with the biscuit. Boom! Great service too. Will come back.

My wife and I patronized this establishment for breakfast on 5/52012 after reading some reviews on Yelp and came to the conclusion though while it was better than Denny's it was far cry from a fantastic dining experience. I ordered their Classic Eggs Benedict While my wife ordered the Garden Skillet. The food was OK. It wasn't that great, the food seemed to have a lack of lust and the water was warm. The server was nice and speedy but the environment was also a Denny's quality place as well. On the whole all things considered I wont rate it as a favorite but I wont avoid it like the plague, more of a 'I tried it and I'll keep looking' place.

We decided to go here because of a review we saw on yelp. And because of the location and the time of day it was. They were not very busy, we were greeted and seated promptly, Jerry our waitress told us about the specials of the night got our drink orders, my wife had the special stuffed pork with mashed potatoes and I had a Montecristo overall the food was pretty good the lemon soup with orzo was a bit overpowering for our taste but was tasty the Ice-T was good and so was the coffee I would recommend this place

Pretty tasty, meat-centric diner with friendly staff. Go there for breakfast or lunch and you'll be satisfied with nice food and good prices. The skillet was filling and flavorful with lots of veggies but other than the combinations of starch and animal proteins there isn't much for variety. They do serve quiches but I haven't gotten the opportunity to try. We got the garden omlet with feta which had great shoestring hashbrowns. But it did have an aftertaste of burnt cooking oils and the egg was almost overcooked. The garden skilled was very nice with a balance of cooked frozen veggies and russet potatoes with two eggs on top. Everything comes with meat or extra meat and if that's your thing great but the healthier options are lacking. The coffee is pretty awful even for a diner so skip it if you can. Buttermilk biscuits are starchy, fluffy and gone in seconds if your not careful. There are pancakes, waffles and crepes but I personally can't do a big, sweet breakfast. I'd go back but not out of my way for the second of the two meal options I have as a vegetarian.
(3)Grant R.
Real friendly folks and decent meal at a good price.
(4)Sum G.
Great diner not to be overlooked. The price is decent but the portions and quality were excellent. I ordered the stuffed peppers. My friend thought i was gonna get just one but I ended up getting two fat green peppers. Enough food for two in my opinion. I'm definitely going to visit more often on my lunch breaks.

Great side salad...Have been coming here for several years & the salad is one of the great reasons... Great service & value. If you are near here, stop by!

Mary and I started cleaning the carpet @ Parkside Cafe about 5 months ago. We like supporting the business that support us. We clean a lot of restaurants @ EZ Dry Carpet Care. You learn real quick, who is good or bad. I can just look @ the kitchen. That tells a lot. Jimmy KNOWS how to run a restaurant. He is on top of everything. Customer service is great. Food is great. Even the parking lot looks brand new. Try this place out. Tell them Stephen And Mary from EZ Dry sent you.

One of our favorite breakfast spots. The skillets are the best around and the service is usually quick. They also give a free homemade dessert on your birthday... even in the morning. :)
